You know how everything always takes longer and costs more than you think it will? Between drought-tolerant landscaping, updated electrical systems, sewer repair, plumbing help... yeah. Your help here is much appreciated.

None of the outlets in our house are grounded, and there's only one or two in every room. There's no electricity in the garage, so to work on bikes, Bryan's been bringing in a small work light. Some of the fuses are original to the house, and some are 40 or 50 years old. There's old knob and tube wiring in the walls. Help us bring our house's wiring up to code!

The plumbing in the house is pretty good, but there's no cleanout and the sewer line is in danger of becoming blocked. Ouch! Help us avert future plumbing crises.

We would love to restore the original style of the 1924 bathroom. All DIY, all the time.

The carpet in the back den is old, stained, and gross. Carpet tiles will let us remedy this.

Just some quick work to be done on our fireplace before it's usable. Luckily, our chimney is in good shape!
