We’re planning on honeymooning on the Oregon coast. The majority of our time is going to be spent relaxing on the docks in Nehalem Bay crabbing and enjoying the local beer. We both loved this idea as a honeymoon because we absolutely love the Oregon coast and always hate to leave it. Sitting on the docks waiting to pull in our crab rings is serene, simply watching the water birds and bay boats come and go. Every 15 minutes, the serenity is replaced with excitement as you haul the ring up and scramble to sort the keeper crabs. It’s especially amusing when you find a fiesty one that manages to get a finger. Just as suddenly as the excitement came, the serenity settles back in. Crack another beer, reset the timer, lean back and watch the bay.
