We've been using Matt's 9 year old pots and pans, which are starting to show their age with the non-stick surfaces wearing off. This set would last us a lifetime! We'd replace our worn pots and it also gives us the option to use stainless -- we occasionally find ourselves wishing we could.

A big stock pot is most necessary for sauce and meatballs!
