The North Myrtle Beach Sea Turtle Patrol is an all volunteer group working for the preservation of endangered sea turtles. Janet's parents are two of many volunteers that patrol stretches of beach to look for nests and then keep the nests safe until the baby turtles safely make it to the ocean. Current Transitions is non-profit program providing ongoing life skills classes for individuals with cognitive disorders and intellectual disabilities. Janet's mom and dad both teach classes and organize field trips for the program participants.
