This will ship for Spring 2014 planting! This is an unusual naturally occurring hybrid of apricot, P. armeniaca and myroblan plum, P. cerasifera from central Asia. The skin of the delicious, oval fruit is fuzzy like an apricot but is a dark purple. The tree is self-fertile, somewhat brown rot resistant and very winter hardy. The trees showy white blossoms appear slightly later than other apricots and the leaves are smaller and narrower, more like its plum parent. The flesh is a pretty marbled red and yellow.

The dusky deep purple buds of this Floribunda swirl open into unforgettable smoky purple flowers that are almost the color of grape juice. Add to this an intense clove fragrance, and you have a scrumptious one-of-a-kind bloom that looks and smells good enough to eat. Like most purple Roses, the size and color of the flower clusters vary with temperature, being largest and darkest in cool weather.

Bred for hardiness and exceptional disease-resistance, this rose is a prolific bloomer with lovely, deep wine-purple blossoms. A compact variety that makes a perfect specimen in the smaller garden.

Nothing compares with Clematis, the queen of flowering vines, for beautiful colors, extravagance of blooms, and graceful habit. The fountain effect of this variety is the spray of pale stamens arching from the center of this perennial’s 6in, semidouble, lilac-blue flowers. Plants are compact and free-flowering with two distinct flushes of bloom, one in late spring and a second in late summer.

'Bartzella' is a cross between a Herbaceous and a Tree Peony, a horticultural feat that has proved remarkably difficult to accomplish. The result is a stunningly beautiful variety whose deep sulphur yellow flowers, each with red flames at the center, are carried on a plant that looks and behaves like a very big, healthy herbaceous Peony bearing dozens of huge flowers (9" across!!!) on strong stems, above rich green foliage. There are very few yellows in the herbaceous Peony world, and none can compare with 'Bartzella' in beauty or performance.
