For our honeymoon, we’re heading to South Africa and Mauritius! We’ll explore Cape Town, sip wine in Franschhoek Valley, go on a four day safari in Kruger National Park, and end on the beaches of Mauritius. It’s the adventure of a lifetime, and we’re so excited to kick off married life with this unforgettable journey!

Whether we’re sipping drinks on a rooftop with a panoramic city view or by the waterfront, it’s the perfect way to unwind and celebrate this special moment. We will hop on and off as we explore one of the world’s most scenic wine regions. This open-air tram and bus tour takes us through the Franschhoek Valley with stops at top wine estates for tastings, dining, and vineyard views. With eight routes to choose from, it’s the perfect way to sip bold reds, crisp whites, and sparkling wines while soaking in South African wine country charm.

We'll depart from Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and fly directly to Skukuza Airport (SZK), the gateway to Kruger National Park. This 2.5-hour flight brings us from the coast to the heart of the bush, setting the stage for our safari experience. After our time in the wild, we'll board a short, 1-hour Airlink flight from Skukuza to Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB).

We’ll spend four nights in a luxury train hotel suspended over the Sabie River in Kruger National Park. Stationed on the historic bridge, the Kruger Shalati offers stunning wildlife views and celebrates African design. We'll soak it all in from our hotel room in a train car, where elephants and hippos will wander below, while also enjoying the amenities on the river shore. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime stay for us blending adventure and history!

We'll be flying from Johannesburg to Mauritius as part of our honeymoon adventure! This flight takes us from safari sunsets to tropical beaches, bringing us to the next dreamy chapter of our trip. During our second day in Capetown, we will go diving with Great White Sharks just off Dyer Island.... swimming with the sharks, protected by a cage.

A full-day journey to the tip of the Cape Peninsula, with epic coastal views, wild landscapes, and charming villages. We'll explore Cape Point Nature Reserve, spot wildlife like baboons and zebras, and visit the famous penguins at Boulders Beach. From the cliffs of Chapman’s Peak to the shores of False Bay, it’s one of the most scenic drives in the world—and a honeymoon memory we’ll never forget.

We’re so excited to spend part of our honeymoon at Franschhoek Country House, nestled in the heart of South Africa’s beautiful wine country. Surrounded by lush gardens and breathtaking mountain views, this luxurious boutique hotel combines elegance with modern comfort. We can’t wait to relax by the pool, indulge in delicious gourmet meals, and enjoy rejuvenating spa treatments. It’s the perfect place to unwind, explore world-class vineyards, and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

While at the Shalati, we'll have twice-daily guided safaris give us the chance to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo—plus other amazing wildlife. We can even join a guided bush walk to learn about local plants and tracks. It’s an unforgettable mix of adventure, nature, and luxury.

After our safari adventure, we’ll spend a restful night at the Protea Hotel O.R. Tambo Airport before continuing our journey. This stylish guest room is more than just a layover—it’s a chance to recharge in comfort. With a cozy bed, serene decor, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering peaceful views, it’s the perfect pause between adventures.
