One of our favorite charities, Tapestry Farms is an urban garden and community organization aiming to assist refugees who resettle in Iowa. They invest in education and healthcare initiatives, growing food and flowers for sale and donation, and assisting refugees in finding meaningful work. WRAP is an organization that provides wheel chair ramps to individuals free of charge in Iowa. Many cannot afford the addition of a ramp to their own home, which leads to those wheelchair-bound individuals being home-bound. WRAP not only provides the materials, but also the volunteer crew required to build the ramp onto the home. This organization is close to the heart of the Pohlman family in honor of the bride's late Grandmother, Kay Smaby. More info at: https://wrapiowa.org/.
