In 2010, Ivan spent 3 months in Uganda participating in soccer programs. During his time there, he met Kathy Ku, the founder of Spouts of Water. Spouts of Water builds affordable and sustainable water filters for the people in Uganda. They have brought clean water to over 100,000 people in Uganda (where a common cause of death is due to illness caused by contaminated water).
