Lucky for me, these ridiculous humans are dropping me off at my favorite place, Doggy Haven Resort for two whole weeks! I get to play with my puppy friends, hang out with humans that are so much nicer than my normal humans (they don't ignore me), and most importantly, the food is the best. Towering nearly 3,000 feet above sea level, the majestic peak of Gros Piton, along with its twin peak Petit Piton, dominates the western coast of St Lucia. The lush green slopes of these pyramid shaped icons rise from the sapphire blue waters of the Caribbean, filling us with wanderlust. The view itself is a classic—the Pitons of Saint Lucia, soaring straight up from the sea's edge. A visit to the Pitons is decidedly one of things we must do in our lifetime. Snaking up the misty, jungle-covered, boulder-strewn mountainside for the huge views from the top is an experience well worth the hike. Afterwards, we will head to a rest stop for a sumptuous lunch of local delicacies and a refreshing swim in the majestic Caribbean Sea.

We'll board our speedboat on the beach and cruise down the west coast to see the famous Marigot Bay and our local fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries. We then head down to the majestic Pitons, a world heritage site as we go snorkeling in the marine reserves. After this, our tour bus will be waiting to take us on a relaxing drive through the town of Soufriere to go visit the drive in volcano, where we can take a therapeutic dirty dip in a mineral mud bath, we then head to the waterfalls and botanical gardens for a refreshing swim. Our homemade creole lunch will be served at a local home while we enjoy a family atmosphere which we will no doubt remember for a long time to come.

Need we say more! We'll get some much needed R&R after wedding planning by enjoying an hour long couples massage. Whether it is on the beach or in one of our tropical gardens, our therapist will customize a massage to meet our specific needs, creating the ideal vacation experience.

We leave for St. Lucia on July 18th and fly back to Seattle on July 27th. We can't wait to take our first flight as husband and wife!
