It will consist of a 5 day safari in Serengeti National Park, followed by 6 days in Zanzibar, the small island off the coast of Tanzania mainland.

We will be staying at Dhow Beach Boutique Hotel in Nungwi, Zanzibar!

On our first day in Zanzibar, we plan to enjoy dinner on a traditional Dhow (boat) from Nungwi, Zanzibar.

When we visited Thailand in 2024, one of our favorite experiences was going to the night market and trying all sorts of local foods. We are looking forward to experiencing the local cuisine in Zanzibar that way as well! The Forodhani Gardens Night Market is a famous spot in Zanzibar where locals go. Sara will be staying away from consuming any crickets this time around....

We will be visiting a local spice farm to learn about the history of the spice trade, how the spices are grown, and how they are used in local cuisine. We will then use the spices from the farm in a cooking class.

We love to have a bit of adventure on every trip we go on!

We will be going to several museums while in Zanzibar, including the Freddie Mercury Museum, House of Wonders, and others!

Safari Day Five!

This will be day 3 of our Safari!

Day 1 of our Safari will consist of flying into Kilimanjaro airport and traveling to our first Safari lodge in Arusha. We will be having dinner to celebrate the first night of our honeymoon!

We will be taking a Dhow (traditional boat) to a local sandbar and enjoying a seafood BBQ there!

This is what Spencer is most looking forward to in Zanzibar :)A local guide will take us on a tour through Stone Town, including through the old slave market site, spice market, and other historical gems.

After exploring Stone Town in the morning, we will travel with a group around Zanzibar to explore the island, while trying unique tropical cocktails along the way!

It has been a lifelong quest of Sara's to go skydiving. Spencer hates heights with a passion. So they're compromising and going skydiving. It has been a running joke every time they go on a trip, Sara says that it is the perfect destination to go skydiving. Spencer has disagreed each time. But finally, in the spirit of this once-in-a-lifetime trip, Spencer said he would jump out of a plane. Yes, Spencer really did say yes to this!!

We will be spending a day out at sea, snorkeling and exploring more of Zanzibar.
