Thank you for visiting our wedding registry! It goes without saying that your presence at our wedding is the biggest gift of all and we understand attending will involve the expense of travel. We do not expect gifts in addition and we also know some people would still like to give a gift. There aren't many things that we want, but we do love adventures and we have two big ones in mind. Starting in June of 2014, we began a goal to hike the highest mountain in every state and by the wedding we will be halfway there. We would love your help to ascend the two most far flung high points- Alaska and Hawaii! We will be attempting to climb Denali (20,321ft) in Alaska and Mauna Kea (13,796ft) in Hawaii for our honeymoon....spread out over the next year or so. This is the cost of a 21 day guided summit attempt with Alpine Ascents. Generally, it takes three weeks to acclimate and wait out weather before making the summit attempt. For perspective, Denali is just over one mile higher than Mount Whitney in California! This total covers a portion of the expense of hiring a guide.....Hannah refuses to climb Denali without a guide:)

We've planned a very special Thanksgiving. One of our dearest friends from CA, Alex Hooker, was raised in small town Wisconsin. So, we're combining a journey to his "home village" where his parents built a log cabin with a trip to an outstanding and historic game.
Bears vs. Packers, with a nationally-televised homecoming and jersey retirement for Brett Favre. Oldest rivalry in the NFL (Packers-Bears) plus the retirement of a football legend's number?!!? It should be a very emotional night for Favre and the 80,000 fans who are likely to pack Lambeau Field to see Rodgers try to improve his 12-3 record against the Bears with the original Bears-killer watching from the sideline.
