Between the pandemic and putting ourselves through grad school, we haven't had the opportunity to explore in several years. Our dream would be to go hiking and explore cultural sites across the world. Right now our top destinations are Brazil, Thailand (pictured), the Dolomites in Italy and South Africa/Madagascar. This fund will support our flights, food and adventure!

An e-bike is an awesome way to get around a small- to mid-size city that aligns with our values of physical activity and environmental consciousness! We are currently making do with one car between the two of us but that is sometimes hard to manage, so we'd like to get an e-bike to help us get around when the car is elsewhere.

Michigan is home to 21% of the world's fresh water--water that is sold, bottled, and maltreated by oil companies. Both our families have a special connection to Michigan, and the two of us also feel deeply connected to the Pacific Northwest, where water and water sovereignty are a longstanding issue. These struggles are connected and in a political climate of misdirection/antagonism toward the environment, we have to step up!

This is an annual national parks pass that will let us visit national parks for the next year--and, bonus, supports national parks during a time of critical need :)
