The Worldwide Fistula Fund (WFF)
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1995 to support international medical education and research about obstetrical trauma in the developing world. Originally organized as The Worldwide Fund for Mothers Injured in Childbirth, we relaunched as the Worldwide Fistula Fund in 2003. The WFF currently is focused on the obstetric fistula treatment, prevention and rehabilitation in Niger, an extremely poor country in west Africa. Our U.S. operations are based out of executive offices in Schaumburg, Illinois.
One Disease at a Time
Is a non-profit organisation that has a simple but groundbreaking vision: to systematically target and eliminate one disease at a time.
Our first initiative is to eliminate crusted scabies and scabies as a health issue in Australia. Scabies is a highly contagious skin disease, which has reached epidemic proportions in many remote Aboriginal communities. Crusted scabies is arguably one of the most devastating medical conditions in Australia. Patients suffering from this condition become the core transmitters of scabies.
