In 2009, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage was protected by the Equal Protection clause of the state's constitution. In 2015, the US Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples had the fundamental right to wed with the same terms and conditions of an opposite-sex couple, which importantly includes the accompanying rights. Every year before and since, there have been efforts to remove this right. Help us hire a family law attorney with this fund to defensively estate plan.
