Though Samme has constant fears about Stephen getting hit by a car crossing the street or catching a rare airborne disease when the subway is crowded, she has been trying to convince him to go sky diving or bungee jumping every time they go on vacation (to no avail). A helicopter tour seems like a good compromise. If Stephen still refuses, maybe they'll go snorkeling instead.

Our second stop - to escape the Bali crowds (and Australian party boys) to the "edge of the wilderness", a beachfront resort a couple islands over, the barely developed Sumba.

And with luck, fewer shark sightings than our surfing day in Cape Town
