Our landlord is selling our home, ironically it is happening when our lease is up, which just happens to be the same month we are getting married, September. Coincidentally, our last landlord did the same thing after two years of us living there. We would like to try to buy the home we live in now if we're able, or look to purchase something else when this happens but would need assistance with a down payment due to the recent expense of the wedding. Any help here would be much appreciated! With the wedding planning, we have not been able to save as we had hoped as we're getting married and paying for the wedding ourselves. Weddings are crazy expensive! We had planned to renew our lease for one more year and then buy a home, but obviously this recent change has pushed that timeline up significantly and very unexpectedly. We did not anticipate this, but hope that our friends and family can help us save enough to put a down payment on a home so that we can FINALLY have some real stability and a place to actually call home and really settle into without the looming question of what will happen when the lease runs out.
