We purchased our Lakewood home together in December 2013. It was very big step and huge commitment for both of us. We are the second owners of our 1955 home and we had a lot of work on our hands. It was a fixer upper from the very beginning! We did mostly all the repairs ourselves with the help of family and friends - which include refinishing the original hardwood floors, patching and repairing all walls, new paint on every surface, new copper plumbing, new roof, bathroom refresh and a completely brand new laundry room! Our last remaining major items on our home improvement list are - windows, exterior paint and rain gutters.
