Atlas Obscura (our favorite travel tip website for the weird and wonderful) is hosting its first international tour and the destination is Havana, Cuba. Our reservations are already booked for October 26-30. Activities include tours of Old Havana, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de la Revloución, the Bacardi Building, Malecón, and John Lennon Park. Closed tours of the Old Havana Perfume Museum, José Fúster house and studio, Necropolis Cristóbal Colón, and Ernest Hemingway's Finca Vijía, not to mention 18th century cigar factories, steam engine museums, and graphic arts centers. Salsa dance lessons, rumba & son music and mojitos at La Casa del Son and meals at local paladars (private restaurants run by local families). Visual and performing arts at Fabrica de Arte Cubano and Los Jardines de la Tropical. Santeria lecture at Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Regla. Access to El Cañonazo, the traditional canon firing ceremony from colonial times at the fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña. Chartered flights from Miami, B&B's with local Cuban families, rides in 1950's US cars and visa paperwork all included.

After Havana, we'll be just in time to catch Dia de los Muertos celebration in Mexico. We're hoping to visit Mexico City and take a boat ride, see the parks, visit some museums and of course try the food!

As part of our kitchen remodel, we'll be replacing the doors on our existing cabinets and adding new cabinets along the wall above the stove and dishwasher.

When we redo the kitchen and replace the utility sink with a real kitchen sink, we would also love to add a sprayer faucet.

We haven't decided on exactly the right one yet, but we're hoping to replace the ceiling fan in our bedroom with one that has a remote and working lights.

After the wedding, our next big project is redoing our kitchen, which will include replacing our very old and not-very-functional dishwasher with a new working one.
