Benjamin & Olivia
August 20, 2022
Dear friends and family, the biggest gift you can make is to celebrate with us. For many of you it will be quite a journey and we really don't expect you to give us any more than your time, a great party and your best dance moves. Or bring your instrument and play a song for us. But we also know that some of you will insist on presents. Because we will probably still not have settled and will have to transport whatever you come up with gifting us on the other side of the Atlantic we decided to make this registry with things we will want to do and need in the future. The main idea is a food forest. The trees will be planted when and where we also have planted roots again. We will choose local varieties from a local nursery and plant them in your name with a plaque with your names on it. And one day make cherry jam, apple cider or sit in their shade thinking of you. Or you can decide to chip in to our "honey moon" to each take a class at Penland School of Crafts next year. If you choose one of the few "real items" please try to get them supporting a small business, offline and locally. Then just mark it here as "bought in a different shop".

Honey Moon at Penland School of Crafts
Group gift
One of Olivia's favorite places in the world. She has been very eager to show it to Ben, but it's a bit too expensive for a normal anytime trip, so we decided to just go take a class together instead of on a traditional honeymoon trip. Make sure to also check it out: https://penland.org/

Bill Mollison: PERMACULTURE: A Designers’ Manual
Purchased
THE BOOK about permaculture. Ben's been looking for it for a long time, but in Europe it's not easy to encounter. Because it is so special and useful we'll give up half a suitcase just to get it back with us. Please try to find it used and if that's not possible go get it in a local book store or through Tagari. Don't feed Jeff with the purchase ;)
