Our post-wedding recovery trip - it's Fiona's favorite place in the world and Doug's first time. Exciting! The bucket list stay is at the iconic Ahwahnee Hotel, with flights to Merced and a rental car for a few days.

With the 2025 LA fires, we learned how vital & irreplaceable are family mementos. So we are committing to a Major Project - digitizing our families' photos, documents, audio recordings, & video recordings. We are the keepers of 4 generations worth of memorabilia from across the world, so will preserve them for our current relatives & future generations.

We're preparing for the wedding reception by getting some dance training. Fiona was born dancing in the cradle, while Doug is trying to move a bit more like Fred Astaire than Fred Willard. So if you'd like to help this noble cause...

Our relationship with our dear girl, Aria, is one of the most beautiful things we’ve shared. Aria was Doug’s rescued German Shepherd Mix who quickly adopted Fiona when they met. She was the sweetest thing in paws, and we were devastated when she contracted a vicious cancer that took her life far too soon. Your donation to the Animal Cancer Foundation will go toward groundbreaking research, educational resources, and financial aid so that we can help keep all the Arias out there healthy & happy.

This year, many areas around our home exploded in windborne infernos. While we were lucky, many friends lost everything. This is climate change reality and, in the same way Dr. Fiona spent years working on environmental issues, we are committed to continuing to battle the climate crisis. Fiona has wanted a traditional picnic basket all her life, and Doug has cherished memories of family outings with theirs. This will enable us to share these visions, maybe with you!

We're both eager to get back to the more outdoorsy lives we once had, and one great addition to this would be this picnic backpack. We'll think of whoever got it for us every time we're fighting off ants or trudging through unexpected rain and mud!
