For all the here-and-theres -- croissants for breakfast, metro tickets, our rental car in Scotland, cocktail hour...

We'll be in Edinburgh for NYE--one of the biggest celebrations in the world!--and there will be a big cèilidh (traditional Scottish square-dance-type celebration) at the Castle to ring in the New Year. We'd love to don our kilts and dance the night away!

The beautiful Barcaldine Castle, near Oban, dates back to 1609 and is now a refurbished bed-and-breakfast!

Eric lived and worked on the Isle of Iona for a summer and fell in love with the island's blissful peace. (He talked about it a lot on our first date and has been dying to take Ellen there ever since!)

We'd love to spend a night in the seaside town of Oban, which is not only hopelessly charming, but also home to some of our very favorite scotch!

It's going to be cold in Paris in January, and the hot chocolate at Angelina on the Rue de Rivoli is legendary!

We'd love some up-close-and-personal face time with our favorite gargoyles!

Founded in 1734, Taittinger is one of France's oldest and finest champagne houses. Lucky for us, their chalk caves are open for touring (with a glass of Brut Reserve included, bien sûr!)

We will be staying in Reims for two days to visit a handful of Champagne houses. We'll need a place to stumble back to...

Founded in 1869, GH Martel is a Reims champagne house that doesn't export, so of course we'd love to give it a taste at the source!

This family-owned brewery in Bruges dates back to 1856. You may have seen them in the news recently for building a several-mile-long underground beer pipeline to carry their product from one end of town to the other!
