Thank you for visiting our registry! OUR STORY ... In 2018, John and I were attending Messiah's House at Harvest Time Church for monthly prayer and worship gatherings, and for some reason, we never had the opportunity to meet, nor seemed to see each other, for that matter. In October 2018, John and I, along with 28 other sojourners, met on a mission trip to Israel with Grant and Hali Berry of Messiah's House. We had 12 amazing days, visiting the Holy Land, and yet during that time, John and I didn't interact very much. I just remember him making everyone laugh, always full of joy, and his passion for Jesus. So, once back in the U.S., John and I, and several other friends from the trip, saw each other at Messiah's House for the monthly gatherings. We became casual friends with a common interest, and had mutual admiration for each other as followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Fast forward to spring 2020, John and I spent many hours on prayer Zoom calls between Easter, Passover and Pentecost, and particularly "10 Days of Prayer," where we spent many hours each day for 10 days leading up to Pentecost. After a Zoom call, the day before Pentecost, John called me, and after a fairly long conversation, John shared his innermost feelings for me. It was very interesting, because when he spoke those words to me, I felt like something was happening in my heart. I quickly hung up the phone, LOL, and said to myself, "What was that?" Well I knew what I felt in my heart, but it was so unexpected that I didn't know what to make of it. Those feelings just began to grow over the next several days. A week after the call, we went on our first date, and by the end of the night, we knew something very special was happening in our lives, and that God had brought us together for a purpose. The following day, John and I went for a walk at Binney Park, where we saw a majestic White Egret perched on a bridge. He let us get rather close before he took off and flew into a nearby tree. We were rather in awe of his beauty and felt God smiling down on us. John said, "I believe this is a sign." Well fast forward to July, we knew in our hearts that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Since my lease was up in August, we began looking for an apartment to rent. Long story short, I went to see the apartment at 200 Weaver Street in Greenwich that was on the market, and after a tour of the inside of the rental which I loved, I went to the side yard which was perfect, and then I turned the corner, and there before me was a lovely little pond in the backyard. As I went down to the pond with the realtor, much to my amazement, I saw a majestic White Egret in the pond. As I got closer, he flew off into a tree where he joined his mate. No doubt in our minds that that was confirmation from God that this would be our new home. We know that God saved this little home just for us. God has been showing up in miraculous ways in our lives, by blessing us, and using us to minister to and bless many others. God is the foundation of our marital relationship, and has been preparing us for the covenant of marriage, our ministry, and our new life together as one!
