<p>This over the door ironing board is a perfect ironing solution for anyone looking to save time, effort and space in their home while still delivering the ironing results they need. Because this over the door board is more compact than a regular folding ironing board or tabletop boars, it’s great for spaces where floor (or other) space is limited. The ironing board comes with hooks to secure the frame on the back of a door with commercial or standard thickness. The board has a steel frame, and the board itself is made of steel mesh. The perforations in the steel allow the board to be sturdy but still lightweight while also allowing steam and heat to pass through and circulate more easily, leading to more even ironing results. At the top of the frame is a u-hook iron holder to store your iron while it’s not in use. The board has a cover with a 100% cotton exterior and padding with bungee cord binding to keep it secure. Two feet at the board’s base support the board while it’s extended to keep it steady and protect the door from scuffing. The board opens and closes with a lever action, allowing for easy access - no reaching or straining to pull the board down. When you've finished, simply release the board with the press of a lever and lift the board back into place. This over the door ironing board makes a great first ironing board for a young person, whether they’re living in a dorm or their first apartment. It’s also a smart and space-saving solution for anyone living in an apartment, condo or home, or for an office, boat or RV. The unit hangs 50.25 inches down from the top of the door and is 17 inches wide and 2 inches deep when closed. Open, the board is 50.25 inches high (measured from the top of the door) and ironing board extends 43.625 inches into the room.</p>
