We were going to buy a house before getting engaged....until the market changed! We hope a little time and saving will help us afford our dream house (near our families, of course), but a little help is always appreciated! We'll have you over for dinner, grilling, music, or wine, too!

Bologna in November is a special time and place for us, which is why we are having our honeymoon there. We met on November 23, 2019, but we didn't have our first date until December 7th, the day Eric came back from his annual business trip to Bologna. When he was there, we got to know each other over phone and text. Eric brought back gifts from the Christmas markets there, and I can't wait to experience them with him!

We can't wait to see the countryside!

Bologna is blessed with many great dishes and foods: pasta bolognese, mortadella, and squaquerone cheese... One winter favorite is tortellini in brodo (tortellini in broth). We can't wait to check it out!

Lambrusco and Sangiovese are some of the many delicious wines of the region. We can't wait to try the lesser-known wines, too.

We are hoping to stay right in the center of Bologna in order to be able to walk around the heart of the city and see some of the winter markets!

We're hoping to do a proscuitto and/or parmigiano tasting up in Parma!

Argriturismos are family farms that you can stay on which sometimes have their own restaurants. We are looking forward finding one that might be on the outskirts of town to enjoy some of the scenery and meet some locals, or maybe some other travellers!

Hopefully it won't be too cold in November!

I can't wait for Eric to show me all the good secret spots, and to learn about some new ones!

Being less than a two hour drive from Venice, we figured, why not go and try the risi e bisi...or maybe the cicchetti!
