Chris threw Ellen a surprise 29th birthday party here! They have matching owl pictures that they painted hanging in their bedroom.

Even though Ellen is a teacher, Chris is better at math. However since Ellen tends to know the rules to the outdoor games better, she usually ends up keeping score. With this scorekeeper, everyone can make sure that she's not making mental math mistakes. Maybe that's why she always wins...

As you can see, Ellen and Chris love outdoor lawn games. Since Ellen is socially awkward, she'd rather have something else (like a game) to focus on while trying to carry on a conversation with people during social gatherings. Chris is just happy that he can remember what happened at the social gathering these days.

Ellen and Chris enjoy watching Kids Baking Championship, Say Yes to the Dress, Impractical Jokers, Nightwatch Nation, and Tacoma FD. It's even better when we can eat dinner and watch too.

Chris and Ellen have gone on 3 cruises together- Canada: Halifax & Saint John; Bahamas: Nassau & Great Stirrup Cay; Western Caribbean: Grand Cayman, Nassau, Mahogany Bay, & Belize

Ellen and Chris rescued 4 year old Koda in April. He is an Alaskan Husky and loves to chase squirrels and rabbits.

Chris and Ellen's bedtime is 9:15. The lights in their backyard are set to go off at this time each night. 5:00am workout or runs are standard, so a good night's sleep is necessary!

Even though Chris does all the cooking in the house, Ellen is in charge of the kitchen redesign. She envisions knocking down the walls between the office, kitchen, and dining room so that she can keep Chris company while he cooks. She also wants a breakfast nook AND a breakfast bar.

Chris and Ellen finished a 10k at Corona Park in 59:28 while training for the Disney Half Marathon. Corona Park was the site of the 1939 and 1964 Worlds Fair and has a giant unisphere. As Ellen loves globes and fell in love with the park, they had their engagement photos taken there.

Chris completed his first half marathon with Ellen by his side at Disney World in 2:15:40. They are training for his first marathon in January.

Ellen began her teaching career in September 2011. She has taught both second and fourth grade. She currently teachers in Cresskill and is pursuing her master's in English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education.

Ellen and Chris once had season tickets. They still support their team, even if they are struggling.

Ladderball is one of Chris and Ellen's favorite lawn games. Ellen usually wins, but Chris is a great sport.

Chris started working as a Ridgewood fireman on June 20, 2011.

Ellen and Chris can often be found collapsed on the living room rug after a long run. Sometimes they can be found stretching there as well, but that is a rare occurrence.
