To start our adventure, we have to get there!

Just outside of Auckland is the beautiful Waiheke Island. We'd love to take a ferry over and spend a couple days exploring. They have several vineyards and world renowned restaurants.

We will need a little bit of breakfast and coffee each morning to start our day of exploring the country.

During our honeymoon, every night is date night. After a long day of adventuring and sight seeing, we'll get to explore the cuisine of New Zealand.

We're headed to the West Coast for a day of vineyard tours, amazing food, a sightseeing at the black sand beaches the along the spectacular Tasman Sea.

After spending the day exploring Hobbiton, we will stay the night in a local hotel designed just like the homes in Lord of the Rings.

During our trip, we are going to a few of the beautiful regions where Peter Jackson filmed. In New Zealand, there's a perfect mix of amazing landscapes and film nerding out. We're doing a guided tour on a Mangaotaki Valley farm near Piopio, where The Hobbit was filmed.

We won't even pretend a visit to Hobbiton isn't a highlight of visiting New Zealand. We're headed to the shire for a tour and banquet fit for Frodo and pals."Experience Hobbiton™ Movie Set as you have never seen it before with a guided tour through The Shire™ at dusk. The trails will be illuminated by path lighting and handheld lanterns will be provided amongst the guests to help light the way. This stunning journey under moonlight will travel through the village breathtakingly lit up, with Hobbit Hole™ chimneys smoking and lanterns glowing in the darkness."

We are checking out a geothermal reserve, which has erupting waters, active mud volcanoes, and land coral. After our tour, we will get to enjoy the reserve's mud baths and sulphur spa.

In Rotorua, we will be taking a Skyline Gondola up to the top of the Volcanic Hill.

We'd love to visit the Weta Studios to see more behind the scenes movie magic. They will take us to do a 45 minute tour of the workshop and then a tour of the Miniatures Stage.

On our last full day, we will be taking the Northern Explorer, which is a scenic train that travels from Wellington through the National Parks to Auckland.
