On August 25, 2018 at Moxie (the restaurant where he asked me to go “steady” with him November 2017), Robert got down on one knee and proposed. I was completely caught off guard. We were sitting outside at the same table we sat at that past November. I didn’t notice. I was too caught up in the fact that it was hot, humid, and the bugs were out and making it known. I was annoyed because he kept getting up for random reasons. The last time he got up, I was preparing my speech as to why I felt we should enjoy our dinner inside. I heard my name, turned around and there was Robert on one knee with a ring in his hand asking me to be his wife. I immediately turned around and looked at everyone that was smiling happily at me waiting for my answer. I turned and asked him if he is serious. And his sarcastic response to me was “It’s a ring in a box and I’m on one knee. What do you think?” Crying, shaking, jumping in my usual dramatic fashion, I said YES!We are so excited to begin our lives together. And we are overjoyed that you all get to join us on this journey.
