We are thrilled to finally be closing the long distance relationship chapter of our story in the summer of 2026 in Milwaukee, WI. Thank you for helping us make our new home together more attainable!

Normally we try to visit new countries we've never visited every chance we get, but we are making an exception for our honeymoon. We are returning to Chan's roots of growing up in South Korea and my roots of living in Japan for a large portion of my young adult life. Thank you for supporting us!

This is a very unique and wonderful blacksmithing workshop located on the banks of the Shimato river in a mountainous region of Shikoku, Japan. We will both create our own kitchen knife and explore the 4th largest island of Japan which we have never traveled.

For part of our trip, we will be staying at a resort on Jeju Island, South Korea! It is considered to be the Korean version of Hawai'i, and many Koreans go there to relax, unwind, and be pampered.

We are always open to recommendations, and many times recommendations from those we know (or don't) are beyond anything we would ever think of. Some of the best experiences we've had were from total strangers, missed connections, or chance. This is your opportunity to tell us what you think we should do! As many of you may know, we have been long distance since the onset of our relationship, living all over the world due to our jobs. We will continue to be long distance until next summer when we will finally be in the same place for good. In the interim, we have been traveling back and forth between Minneapolis and Milwaukee by train, plane, and automobile. This takes time and money, but it'll all be worth it in the end.
