David James & Cassie May
October 13, 2018
Thank you for stopping by! Assuming you know us, we're sure you won't be surprised that our registry features our favorite charitable giving options, rather than linens and pans. We truly care about sustainable, mindful giving, so please take your time learning about the charities we're asking you support in celebration of our lives together. We're creating a beautiful future together, and our wish is simply that others have the same opportunity: to reach their full potential in life and live in a world where they have access to opportunity and choice. Thank you! We love you for joining us by investing in the future of others! -Cassie and David xoxo

Global Autism Project
Group gift
3 years ago, David James made a donation to the Global Autism Project (as a grand gesture to get Cassie's attention -- and it worked). He also made this donation because he believes in the mission, and more importantly, the vision. The vision a world where all people can reach their potential. The Global Autism Project promotes acceptance of people with autism worldwide by training communities. By empowering self-advocates, supporting families, and through sustainable teacher training, the Global Autism Project is creating jobs and changing the conversation about autism worldwide.

LOCWOM - Empower Women, Liberate the World.
Group gift
In 2014, David moved to Nepal where he met a young woman named Nasreen Sheikh. She had recently fled an arranged marriage and decided to take charge of her own life as an independent woman by becoming an entrepreneur. She opened her own store creating and selling crafts, clothing, and accessories. She employed and trained other women seeking the simplest thing -- a choice in their futures. One year later, David introduced Cassie to Nasreen (online, of course) in hopes they could learn from each other. Today, Cassie is an advisor on the Board of Directors for LOCWOM, working alongside David, Nasreen, and hundreds of empowered women to close the global gap in opportunities for women. LOCWOM provides training in sewing, crafts, trade, business management, leadership, and more in a mission to empower women -- worldwide.
