So Wes can make rice, yogurt, bread, etc. Carson loves Wes and wants him to be able to achieve his home culinary dreams :)

"Where are you going for you honeymoon?" you may be asking. We don't know! We thought we did - we started making plans, then stopped, then started making smaller plans for a closer location, then stopped again because we keep getting sick and it doesn't sound fun to be sick on our honeymoon. We now tentatively hope to do something next year - maybe San Francisco, maybe Galena, IL, maybe somewhere else!

We plan to adopt 2 cats next year!! Help us build up some funds for food, treats, vet visits, etc.

We need a proper cutting board, Wes keeps complaining about our cheap plastic one. In his defense, he is correct, it is not a very good cutting board. He also says end grain is superior (feel free to argue about the superior cutting grain at our wedding I guess).

Wes says we should stop using our single pair of office scissors as a substitute for kitchen shears. Apparently these are good? At least Carson read an article about a chef who really likes them (you can debate which kitchen shears are superior at the wedding).

We live on Lake Michigan and that means it could rain at literally any moment with no warning whatsoever. Also means we get some cool lake effect snow and ice shelves in the winter!

This is for Carson, she needs something that lets her sit like a gremlin while reading in the park.

This is for Wes, he says he doesn't trust chairs with legs.

This is also for Wes, he says stools are trustworthy.

It is currently September 28th in the great city of Chicago and sunset occurred at 6:35 PM. This makes Carson real real sad, now it's dark when she gets back from work. Contribute to help her buy a light therapy lamp :') please i love this city but the SAD is real in fall/winter

Carson here, getting over a cold I caught early this week i.e. 3 weeks before the wedding. In light of the fact Wes and I have been sick on and off for almost the entire summer, I am increasing the number of air purifiers we need to 2 and making them our Most Wanteds. Some of our friends in Chicago have this model air purifier and say it's worked quite well for them.

If you have a dutch oven of your own that you are willing to part with, that also works so please let us know! Wes wants to use this bad boy to make bread, ribs, stews, etc.

THIS IS OUR MOST NEEDED GIFT. We plan to get to cats and Carson already counts as like a long-haired dog who also tracks in dirt and sand constantly. Please contribute so we can get our dream buy-for-life vacuum. We're leaning towards the SEBO FELIX but plan to go to a vac shop so we can test options and discuss with an expert.

So Wes can make wings, fries, reheated pizza, etc. (Please note, he does not believe in reheating using the microwave, only will eat reheated food from an air fryer.)

Carson's co-workers keep ribbing her about this beer soak, they think it's so funny. Fulfill Carson's co-workers' dreams of finding out whether the beer soak is worth it! (to be clear, the beer soak both includes soaking in a bath of beer while drinking a different beer while getting to snack on charcuterie)

Wes became intrigued after seeing this Beer Barrel Bus around the Magnificent Mile. New competition for the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile perhaps? (P.S. to Jack Madden: I will always consider you a failure for not becoming The Hotdogger, you have disappointed me immensely)

Carson prefers serrated knives for cutting things with a thick peel like lemons, watermelon, etc.

Cold brew is expensive, might as well prep it at home.

A pair of nice satin pillowcases to hopefully decrease bedhead.

Wes is an XBox guy and Carson is a Playstation gal so this seems like a good compromise for a gaming couple :)
