Jacob worked as a Crisis Counselor Team Lead on Maui from October 2023 since we moved to Maine and engaged with victims of the wildfires / amazing people living on Maui for a lot of months. He is prepared to give the money in this fund to the organizations and individuals that need it the most and were more impacted by the fires.

Jacob's favorite country is Japan and he's studied abroad there a handful of times. He speaks Japanese fluently and is even a professional sushi chef! Carrigan has spent solo, thrilling and disorienting 12-hours in Tokyo on a layover in-between flights. She has always dreamed of going back. Carrigan & Jacob realized they were made for each other when Jacob asked Carrigan on their first unofficial date what sorts of books she liked to read and Carrigan said, "I like some of Haruki Murakami's not super sexist books". Jacob was excited because it turns out this Japanese author is also one of Jacob's favorite! As soon as they decided the get married, they chose Japan as a great Honeymoon destination. They just need some financial support to get there in time for when the cherry blossoms blossom!
