We're planning our honeymoon in Austria and northern Italy! We'll start in the Austrian side of Tyrol with some relaxation and hiking in the Alps, in one of the historic resorts in the shadow of the Zugspitze mountain (pictured). Then, we'll cross the Italian border by train into Southern Tyrol. After exploring Lake Garda and the surrounding villages, we'll end up in Venice before we fly home.

We love our home in Durham, but it was built in 1952 and needs some TLC - the ductwork needs to be replaced, we need a new front door, and Ian would love to put a shed in the backyard. Help us invest in our future!

Caroline started drinking coffee during the last stretch of her Ph.D., Ian is now looking to upgrade her from the instant Cafe Bustelo coffee she scoops into her mug in the morning. He has done his research and is certain Moccamaster is the way to go.

Caroline's late father had a soft spot for Riedel glassware. He always said he could count on her mother to chip one or two a year, which allowed him to buy her replacements as an anniversary gift. Caroline has inherited her mother's clumsiness, but promises to be more careful with these. But if she's not, Ian will have a great gift opportunity in the future!

The first time Ian cooked for Caroline, he had a bottle of wine but no wine glasses. He hurriedly bought two wine glasses from the Durham Rescue Mission thrift store that day, one of which has since chipped. Caroline brought a few wine glasses with her when she moved in, mostly from her college days. We would love some adult wine glasses for our home!

Caroline introduced Ian to the glory of the toaster oven when she moved in (he was skeptical it was worth the counter space). Now fully committed to the toaster oven lifestyle, he wants to upgrade her trusty old Breville to a newer model with an air fryer.

Ian is the chef in our household and regularly makes stock in our current smaller stock pot. His specialty is Graupensuppe, a German barley soup, which is much more delicious than it sounds.

We already have a few Staub pieces, but this Dutch Oven would be a welcome addition to the collection.
