Ryokan Sawanoya is a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) that resides in one of the few Tokyo neighborhoods in which the old Shitamachi atmosphere can still be felt. Shitamachi is a local culture that is commonly seen as more historical and traditional.

The Shiraume Ryokan, with beautiful views of the surrounding river and canals, is located in the Higashiyama-ku district of Kyoto.

The Miru Kyoto Nishiki is more of a modern take on the traditional Ryokan. It's located in central Kyoto close to several restaurants and sights, including the Nijō Castle, Nishiki Market, and the International Manga Museum.

Fujikawaguchiko Onsen Konanso is a ryokan/spa with amazing view of Mt. Fuji.
