Stax Music Academy (SMA) is a beloved after-school and summer music institute that helps instill soul in the next generation of Memphis artists. SMA helps students enhance their character by teaching skills in leadership, teamwork, and discipline. The end goal is to prepare graduates for post-primary success regardless of their chosen path. Since 2008, every high school senior graduating from SMA has been accepted to a college or university, many on full scholarships.

The Church Health Center (CHC) provides quality, affordable primary health care for working, uninsured people and their families in Memphis. It offers high-quality on-site services, including medical care, dentistry, optometry, counseling, social work, and nutrition and fitness education, to promote wellness across all dimensions of life. Brooke has loved ones who rely on CHC for their care, and CHC is beloved throughout the Memphis community.

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). Terry regularly volunteers with the Best Buddies Citizens program, which creates one-to-one friendships between adults with and without IDD.

Vanderbilt-Ingram is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of just two centers in Tennessee and 57 in the country to earn this highest distinction, and ranks in the top 10 nationwide for cancer research grant support. Brooke’s beloved stepmom, Patricia Newton, passed away from cancer in November last year. She got some of the best care possible at Vanderbilt. We’d love to honor her memory by donating to support cancer research.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. NAMI provides education, support groups, advocacy, and public awareness programs to reduce stigma and promote access to quality mental health care. We chose this organization in support of our loved ones who have struggled with mental health issues.
