Brittany recently traveled to Malawi, Africa for an international elective through MSUCOM. There, she met one of her professor's long-time friends, Hamilton. Hamilton (pictured above) is a very talented wood carver who is extremely integrated into his community. Aside from wood carving himself, he has trained many apprentices to do the same and earn a living in Malawi. Furthermore, he founded and currently sustains the Ndirande Handicapped Center in the small village of Ndirande outside of Blantrye. There, he and volunteers care for and provide resources (food, therapy, bible study, and more!) to disabled children and their families. Unfortunately, the country of Malawi is experiencing crop shortages and many traditional food sources are limited at this time. Any funds raised via this platform will be sent directly to Hamilton and the Center in efforts to help provide resources for continued operations. Thank you!
