We are over the moon (and slightly over-the-whelmed, TBH) to be buying our first home! We're moving out of the trailer and into a beautiful barn house that we're just starting to remodel. We need all the furniture and furnishings, and we're collecting items from flea markets, thrift stores, antique shops and yard sales, mostly. If you use a credit card here, there's a 2.5% fee, so checks and cash in a card work best to stretch every dollar, which we are very skilled at :)

We're keeping it simple! Our plan is to see a new part of this beautiful region, maybe stay in a bed and breakfast and enjoy a peaceful, quiet end to an incredible and adventurous year. If we get more than we need, more home goods!

Detoxifying the kitchen!

We haven't found it yet! We'd love a little countertop toaster oven, but nonstick coating materials give off toxic fumes and aluminum isn't good for us. Do you have a healthy oven you love? Please tell us about it!

Hey, by the way - we mean it when we say we'd like to furnish our new home thoughtfully, getting quality, organic, nontoxic things from stores that aren't evil for our home. For a great many things, the best place to find that is from other people! Craigslist, secondhand shops, yard sales. With that in mind, if you have something cool that fits our vibe, like an old record player, a vintage hutch (difficult to travel with, we know), killer speakers, a quality curtain rod you don't use -- I don't know -- that would fit into our new home, we would LOVE a secondhand gift. I know when we moved into the trailer, we had some amazing things that we just couldn't take with us. If you have something that you love that simply doesn't fit into your life anymore and looks like us (see board below), wrap it up and send it over! You can text us a photo too if you aren't sure.
