As we celebrate our wedding in a city under federal occupation, we invite you to donate to Free DC in lieu of a wedding gift. Free DC is a movement led by the people of the District of Columbia to win dignity for our communities and exert our right to self-determination. For too long, the people of DC have been prevented from fully governing ourselves in ways that are deeply and fundamentally unjust.

In honor of Indigenous People's Day, the same weekend as our wedding and the stolen land on which our wedding will occur, we encourage our guests to give a donation to the Native American Rights Fund in lieu of a wedding gift.

We encourage our guests to donate to the ACLU in lieu of a wedding gift. The ACLU vigorously defends people’s rights. From protecting the rights of immigrants and refugees, resisting assaults on voting rights, defending attacks against reproductive healthcare, fighting for LGBTQ equality, and so much more; your donation enables litigation, lobbying and education.
