You would be amazed at how much everyone raves about these little pillows - seriously - go read the reviews on amazon... And I thought it was just one of those ridiculous neck pillows that people bring on airplanes. NOPE! This thing will pretty much make you breakfast and it is just a pillow - wow - way to go baby industry, way to go...

Gotta protect that magic pillow (this is how they get you... you buy the pillow then a water cover, oh wait - now you need a decorative cover) - this is JUST for the protective cover. But I guess babies spit up on things or something - I dunno - thats what the amazon reviewers say anyway - this thing keeps Aladin's magic pillow dry.

Okay we are now on item #3 just to have a fancy pillow (a.k.a. Aladin's magic pillow) - but I think we are done here. Katy should not have ordered non-decaf coffee before we started this process - but what's done is done. Anyway we spent about 5 minutes debating the pattern on this pillow cover - and we decided on this one (Katy's first choice). Side fact - babies are actually more mentally stimulated by complex patterns than by bright colors (I learned this from the book 'The Expectant Father'). I also thought those foxes were owls at first - and I was like 'cool - owls are wise and smart and we want Emily to be wise and smart'. Anyway - they are not owls - but there are also owls (as Katy just pointed out to me) - so she WILL be wise and smart and stuff. Also - I think Dina (her godmother) likes hedgehogs - which are on here - so I wonder if she will get this one...

Alright all you haters out there - we are trying an 'experiment' (think Dr. evil air quotes here)... This non-disposable diapers idea is definitely one from Chris' book of frugality (also this -> http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2011/09/09/mrs-money-mustache-what-do-newborn-babies-really-need/). Anyway - these things are frickin sweet - they are like dryer sheets that you put in the non-disposable diapers and then you can just flush them down the toilet to help with the mess (cool right?). These aint your grandma's old cloth diapers.
