ETC is a stellar local organization in Nepal that Asya's colleague worked with in 2010. ETC has a deep reach into rural communities that were devastated by the April 25 earthquake, and has committed to helping rebuild these communities as well as reinforcing ongoing work in education, women's empowerment, and agriculture. Please feel free to choose a different amount for your gift!

Rob co-founded the Philani Family Fund in 2005 to provide emergency housing for young, vulnerable mothers and their families living in extreme poverty and/or displaced by fire or domestic violence. Today, the organization also provides scholarships for these women to receive vocational training, such as nursing degrees. It runs through the Philani Nutrition Centre in Khayelitsha, South Africa and serves residents of the largely informal settlements outside of Cape Town. When making a donation, please be sure to indicate that the funding is intended for the Philani Family Fund. Also feel free to choose your own denomination of gift!
