Hello everyone! The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you. Thank you. We absolutely cannot contain our excitement about our honeymoon plans... well, maybe we should call it a honeymoon/one-year anniversary. A honeyversary? Due to our work schedules, we will be waiting until October of 2016 to go on this adventure of a lifetime. While we are beginning to build our lives together and can certainly use household items from our other registries, we thought it would be special to invite you to be a part of our first trip as husband and wife. To give the gift of travel, of experience, is so amazing. So where are we going? What are we doing? Well, we will be flying from our home state of Alaska, across the Atlantic, over the Equator, into Tanzania... to climb Mount Kilimanjaro! To summit Africa's highest peak has been at the tippy-top of Ashley's bucket list since she was in middle school, and Jonathan has always wanted look at a giraffe eye-to-eye... just kidding. He has always been an avid outdoors man and a lover of wildlife, so adding a safari to our trip at the end of the climb is the perfect fit! After the safari, we hope to spend a day at the Happy Tonoto orphanage in Tanzania. We would love to learn about the organization and volunteer our time doing whatever is needed. We are beyond thrilled and can’t wait to tell you all about our amazing adventure.
