Bambu Indah is located on the Sayan Ridge, above the Ayung River in the village of Baung in Sayan and across the sawah (rice paddies) of Bongkasa. We invite you to explore and discover the property and our nearby villages, and enjoy its natural surroundings throughout your stay.Explore the simplicity of village living, worship nature and work up a sweat with our guided two (2) hour morning walk starting from 7am.

Bambu Indah is 15 minutes by car from Central Ubud and is best explored on scooters. Once there, the area can be covered by foot but we’ll need transport to truly explore greater Ubud and all it has to offer.

The Ubud Monkey Forest lies within the village of Padangtegal, which owns it. The village's residents view the Monkey Forest as an important spiritual, economic, educational, and conservation center for the village. There are many of point of interest that you can see here. Other than around 700 monkeys, you also can see 186 species of trees in 12.5 hectares of forest, where will allowing you to get an abundant of fresh air.

A Bali blessing is a spiritual ceremony that is part of our traditional custom consisting of a purification, welcoming of good spirits and a final offering while the individual performing the ceremony chants mantras in ancient Sanskrit.

Since 2006, Green School has attracted an extraordinary amount of attention for its pioneering attempt to integrate traditional academic education with environmentally sustainable practices, and we have been honored by visits from thousands of people from all over the world.The U.S. Green Building Council’s Center for Green Schools awarded Green School the “2012 Greenest School on Earth“. This was an affirmation of the program we provide to enrich and nurture our students.Bambu Indah is proud of the Green School, and is happy to organize visits for you to the school so you can see everything from the magnificent Heart of School to the Begawan Foundation breeding sanctuary for the critically endangered Bali Starling. As you spend an afternoon exploring the campus, we encourage you to imagine how you can bring, in your own way, a spirit of positive change and sustainability to your own community. To help inspire you, tour guides will share our vision for the school and future generations of global citizens and green leaders.
