After many years of service its finally time to replace our trusty sleeper couch with one that is more comfortable/easier to move in and out of NYC apartments. After visiting multiple stores and sitting/laying on at least 15 sofa's we found this amazing one from Interior Define. It's very comfortable for both the short and long-legged alike and pulls out easily into a queen sleeper for hosting friends and family visiting NYC!

Frankly our current vacuum kinda sucks (and not in a good way). While perfectly capable of generally cleaning the hardwood floors it boards the struggle bus when trying to handle the plush carpet in the bedroom. We figured it was time for an upgrade and can't wait to finally own an adult vacuum!

Our current set of grey sheets have been with us for over 4 years so its about time to replace them (we toss and turn a lot!).

Since we are replacing all of our sheets it wouldn't feel right if we didn't get at least one set of these Pure Beech Jersey Knit ones. We've both owned various sets of these Pure Beech Jersey knits since college - and loved them!

Our towels, like our sheets, are getting a little bit worn out, so we are looking to replace some of our current ones in rotation with these lovely and absorbent ones!

Sometimes (always) we aren't the best about folding our laundry right as it comes out of the dryer. For those occasions a quick mini-steam to get the wrinkles out will help us look fit for presentation to the outside world.

Of course if we are getting a navy heathered bath sheet we need the matching bath towels!

Naturally if we are replacing towels we need to get colors and textures other than heathered blue, so we figured we throw some grey classics in there!

Sometimes you want to wrap yourself up like a pseudo mummy while you shuffle from the shower to couch, other times you just want to get dry an be on your way. For those occasions, a more standard sized bath towel is in order!

For too long we have only owned 1 set of 2 hand towels. Its probably time to fix that, and these look pretty!

Since our new sofa will be much lower to the ground than our old one we will be moving a few of the items that live underneath it to under the bed and need some way to store them cleanly and neatly.

Well something has to fill out the duvet set on this registry!

Neither of us has owned patterned sheets since approximately 2010, so this subtle print is a move in a new direction for us!

Extra pillows for when we have overnight guests (currently we can only offer them 1 pillow each that are kind of flat...).

An average of 2 slices of toast are consumed in the Oliva-Yergler household every day. However extracting hot toast from a toaster in time to get peanut butter on it so it gets all melty is sometimes a game of hot-potato. A new set of toast tongs means we wont have to play hot-potato with our many slices of toast and also wont risk electrocution by stabbing toast with a fork (not that we would ever do this *side eye*).

If any of you own a Swell water bottle (or any bottle with a narrow mouth) you know how hard it is to get them really clean. Well, problem solved!

Lets be real, sponges are gross. Just...ew. Having a little tray to hold 2 at a time upright to dry them better and keep them off the counter will help cut down on the gross factor. And having two at a time means 1 will always be available while the other is in the dishwasher being "sanitized" (yes we know it doesn't really work but whatever...it feels better).

Our household consumes a lot of berries, between snacks, smoothies, and treats for our baby Gilgamesh, we go through quite a few! Since keeping them clean and well stored can be a challenge when you have so many, we figured this berry basket would help keep our snacks clean and organized!

We, somehow, don't seem to own a colander! We make due be scooping things out of boiling water with a slotted spoon, but it really would be more efficient to own a colander.

Our own set is due for replacing. Honestly we probably won't actually get rid of the first set so we will simply have 2 sets...but hey, we tried! However it is definitely time to move the current set to the back of a seldom opened drawer.

We honestly have no idea what we are going to use this bowl for...but it was too adorable to pass on!

Since we can never seem to find the paper towels when we need them, having a dedicated paper towel roll holder means we will (almost!) always know where they are.

You can never have enough Tupperware! Especially when half of your current set is devoted to holding chopped lizard food.

As we mentioned earlier...our household consumes a lot of toast. Every once in a while we take a break from our sprouted-whole-ancient-grain hippy bread and treat ourselves to a fancy olive sourdough. However if you've ever cut a up a crusty bread you know that it leaves a big mess. Well, its finally time to dedicate a cutting board to this habit - one with helpful grooves for catching bread crumbles.

Fancy knife number 1! We usually use whatever knife we see first to chop vegetables for ourselves and our lizard-baby - but alas no more! Finally time to have an actual vegetable knife for those tasks!

Fancy knife number 2! Obviously we had to get a bread knife to go with the bread board!

Fancy knife number 3! Occasionally we chop things that aren't bread or vegetables...now there's a knife for that too!

We have, over the years, kind-of destroyed our current set of steak knives - so its just about time for new ones!

Protein pancakes are frequent Sunday morning meal in our household (slathered in peanut butter and berries, of course!). Now we think its time to expand into protein-waffles. Waffles will hold their berry and pb toppings better than a pancake, and sometimes its just fun to make waffle things.

We like to travel - a lot! However, after spending the better part of two decades lugging and checking giant fencing bags all over the world we both despise checking bags. As a result we tend to pack very lightly and try to stay organized. We'll use these packing cubes to continue to take 9-day trips with only a small backpack and a carry-on in tow!

We once celebrated a birthday with an epic candy-explosion cake from Flour Shop and it was amazing. We would definitely love to repeat the experience or get one of their other adorable cakes (link: https://flourshop.com/) for another birthday or anniversary!

We've been wanting to sous-vide things since Starbucks popularized the cooking method with their sous-vide egg bites. It cooks things to the perfect temperature, cuts down on the need for cooking fats, and doesn't set off the smoke alarm in our NYC apartment EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

Night time drinks after our under water shark adventures sound like a great way to unwind. And we are probably going to need a few before we admit that we freaked out when a 10-foot, serated-toothrf, living torpedo swam passed us.

Trying the local brews is a must anywhere we go, so we plan to cool off from the heat and humility with a couple Tahitian-made beers!

On days where we are on or under the water both morning and afternoon we'll be grabbing a quick(ish!) lunch at hotel's bar and grill before heading back out to the docks.

Tahiti is home to a large variety of sharks including Greys, Great Hammerheads, Blacktip Reef, and Whitetip Reef sharks. The sharks are especially prevalent in and around the passes of Moorea and Rangiroa where we will be staying. This course will take us on a shark diving adventure and teach us about identifying shark species, ages, weights, and behaviors under the water.

After a long flight half way around the world we are looking forward to kicking back and relaxing.

A big reason we were drawn to the island of Rangiroa was this pass - a top diving destination swarming with sharks and other reef life. There is also a strong possibility of spotting some manta rays on this drift dive between the lagoon and open ocean.

We can't wait to explore Moorea - and what better way to explore it's crazy landscape then on the back of an ATV!

One of the many dive trips we look forward to taking, this site gets its name from the collections of pink coral roses (leaf plate montipora) all over the area .

Help us get from Moorea to Rangiroa as we continue our adventure around the islands!

Our flight from the US will land on the Island of Tahiti, but we'll need to make one more connection before we can kick our feet up in Moorea. Help us get from Tahiti to Moorea with a connecting flight!

We will need to make it back to Tahiti before we can board our plane home - help bring us home and reunite us with our pets by getting us from Rangiroa back to Tahiti.

Since it is a honey moon we figured we should do a few romance-y meals. We will be having a private torch-lit dinner on an island facing the lagoon at the Hilton Moorea!

October is peak whale season around French Polynesia , especially around the society islands where we will be spending the first part of our trip. We hope to spot a mix of newborn calves, juveniles, and adults who have come to the warm waters around the islands to give birth and rest before starting their migration to the south pole. The islands have very strict policies in place for the animals protection and all guides are certified and will ensure that whales remain undisturbed by visitors.

While we plan to spend a lot of time under the water, we need to take some time to rest now and then and let our residual nitrogen levels come back to normal (not that it would ever actually be a problem!). A day of snorkeling and lounging sounds like a lovely break from all the diving that will still keep us close to the wild life and water.

While generally we will be looking to find food away from our main resort we are giving ourselves licence to be extremely lazy on 2 different nighst and just mosey over to the hotel restaurant. We look forward to tasting the seared tuna and sharing a chocolate sphere (whatever that is!).

While this dinner spot comes well recommended we have to admit we've chosen it largely for its name and to find out exactly what restauranteurs in Polynesia consider to be Canadian fare.

Since we will be missing our own little yellow lizard we figured this restaurant was a must in honor of our little baby Gilgamesh.

From the pictures this little outpost strongly reminds us of Rum Pointe in Grand Cayman so we figured we had to see how it compares.

What vacation would be complete without a few cocktails and a treat after a day of tourism! This over water bar severs crepes and galattes along side drinks with a view of the lagoon!

Some nights you just need to sit back with a lap full of pizza and a movie - even on your honeymoon! In an effort to pretend that our night in (ok, maybe we'll walk the pizza down to the beach) is more classy we promise to crack open a bottle of sparkling wine while eating.
