For the majority of our relationship we have worked ourselves to the bone, building our respective businesses/careers and getting Sweet Generation off the ground. In the 9 year we have been together, we have not taken a single vacation, just the two of us. Though we have traveled the country to celebrate many friends' weddings, gone on weekend getaways to upstate NY a couple times, and visited family and friends frequently, we have never gone on a trip together. We are extremely excited to seize this momentous time in our lives and go on a honeymoon to celebrate our marriage.

Sweet Generation RISE is an internship program for at-risk teens and young adults run by Amy's bakery, Sweet Generation. Through customer service, entrepreneurship, and baking curricula, RISE provides job training and inspires growth in young people in NYC. We help at-risk youth REACH their goals in school, jobs, and beyond. ​ Through entrepreneurship and professional development workshops from leaders in the community, we INSPIRE young people to achieve their goals. ​ We provide tools--like food handling certification, resume development, and career counseling-- to SHAPE the goals and future of our participants. ​ Through thoughtful and attentive job training, we create a platform for Interns to ELEVATE themselves in the job market and the professional world.
