Not to mention their world class ales, lambics and spirits. This country has always been a bucket list for Mara & Shane. Funds donated to this level will help pay for airfare to and from the Honeymoon of their dreams.

Shane and Mara plan to stay in centrally-located Brussels for their honeymoon, with a short aside to Bruges, "the Venice of the North." Money donated to this fund will help them upgrade their stay from budget to "Just Married".

Belgium is the home of so much amazing art and history, and the newlyweds would love to take it all in. The Royal Museum of Fine Arts has a dedicated exhibition on Dada and Surrealism. The Klankenbos ("the sound forest") is a "unique collection of sound art in the open air." The Musée de la Médecine ULB "bridges the gap between medicine and art," housing artifacts from antique medical tools to anatomical waxes.

Shane and Mara enjoy raising their own vegetables in their garden and planting seasonal flowers. The hori-hori is the "swiss army knife" of gardening, creating ease in weeding, cutting roots, transplanting, moving plants, sod cutting, and splitting perennials.

Shane and Mara do the majority of their cooking at home. Because Mara is vegan, many of their meals have a plant-centered focus. Vermicomposting is an ideal solution to composting on a small footprint, and will allow us to turn kitchen scraps into beautiful soil to grow our own vegetables.

Having spent the better part of their lives watching films at this specific theater, Shane and Mara almost made this their wedding venue. Nashville is blessed to have this fantastic art-house theater, which keeps its doors open through community support. The Belcourt is the only place to go see fresh documentaries like Bathtubs over Broadway, classic 35MM prints of films like Suspiria, or first run independents like Sorry to Bother You. Zoos play an important part in wildlife conservation, and Nashville happens to have a fantastic one. Shane and Mara live close enough to the zoo to regularly hear the Siamangs' call.
