Matt's nephew Marshall was recently diagnosed with a rare and serious genetic disorder called Hikeshi-associated hypomyelinating leukodystrophy. He is the 15th documented case, and there is no known treatment. However, a doctor at Vanderbilt University is currently attempting to develop one. To help reduce the financial burden on Marshall's loved ones in support of this research, Vanderbilt has created Marshall's Fund. All donations go directly to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and will directly support the development of a cutting edge genetic treatment that has the potential to not only save Marshall's life, but also the lives of other children with rare genetic conditions. You can donate either directly on Zola (Matt and Alyssa will transfer the funds), or by pasting this link in your browser (only donations through this link are tax deductible): https://give.vanderbilthealth.org/campaign/marshalls-fund/c391101
