One in five American women has chosen Planned Parenthood for health care at least once in her life. These health centers provide a wide range of safe, reliable health care — and the majority is preventive care, which helps prevent unintended pregnancies through contraception, reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections through testing and treatment, and screen for cervical and other cancers. Caring physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff take time to talk with clients, encouraging them to ask questions in an environment that millions have grown to trust.

Since 1979, Richmond Animal League has been finding homes for homeless dogs and cats in the Richmond area. Believing in the no-kill philosophy since the beginning, they are the area’s oldest no-kill shelter. Since their facility opened, they have helped thousands of animals and in 2015 alone they found homes for more than 2,000 animals. Worth the mention that we got our very own Moji through this shelter!

“Ninety percent of the world’s population has access to only 10 percent of the world’s health resources.” World Pediatric Project helps tackle this problem by sending surgical and diagnostic teams to provide treatment, developing prevention programs, coordinating care for children through programs based in the United States, as well as in our program countries, and building local healthcare capacity.
