The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. The ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization.

Kootenay Kids Society, based in Nelson BC, remains true to its roots, and we continue to support and strengthen families. Funded largely by government contracts, we deliver a wide range of programs and services including licensed child care, Aboriginal family programs, and resources for child care providers, physiotherapy and occupational therapy for young children, a wide range of parent education programs, and opportunities for families to meet socially and connect with each other.

Girl in the Wild provides free confidence-boosting camps in the Canadian Pacific Northwest for teenage girls from all over North America. Through adventure-based learning, honest, straight up conversation, and some seriously hip beats we help every girl uncover her own wild and set herself free—from expectation, from self-doubt, from other people’s judgment, from self-harm.

The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center is dedicated to enhancing and sustaining the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals, our families and allies, by providing educational, social, and health related activities, programs and services.

The California Black Women's Health Project (CABWHP) is the only statewide, non-profit organization that is solely committed to improving the health of California's 1.2 million Black women and girls through advocacy, education, outreach and policy. We are committed to advocating for policies and practices that promote and improve physical, spiritual, mental and emotional well-being of Black women and girls in California. We believe a healthier future is possible when women are empowered to make choices in an environment where equal access and health justice are community priorities.

Funds raised by the MPS Foundation provide access to rigorous, joyful learning experiences; promote equity for all MPS students; and help young people reach their full potential by providing scholarships and supporting programs and services aimed at post-secondary success.

Founded in 2000, the New England Innocence Project (NEIP) fights to correct and prevent wrongful convictions and ensure justice within the criminal legal system for innocent people throughout New England who are imprisoned for a crime they did not commit. We provide free forensic testing, investigation, experts, and an experienced legal team to exonerate the innocent and bring them home to their loved ones. We also use our expertise about wrongful convictions to provide education and advocate for legislative and judicial reforms to prevent future tragedies.

Leaders Igniting Transformation (LIT) is a youth of color led independent nonprofit in Milwaukee. Founded in 2017, LIT engages in values-based issue and electoral organizing, direct action, advocacy for public policy, and leadership development. On campuses and communities in Milwaukee’s key geographies, we organize young people to build independent political power for social, racial and economic justice.
