Seattle Union Gospel Mission is a faith-based ministry with the goal of supporting and serving the homeless community in Seattle. When he lived in Seattle full-time, Armand would volunteer with the "rescue van" - a van that drives around Seattle, to the communities who have need, to distribute warm clothes, food, toiletries, and hot chocolate. They also have programs to help men and women heal from abuse and addition. Shared Space for All is a non-profit organization founded by our officiant and his wife - Garth and Danielle. Shared Space for All exists to provide education to those who live in Isaan, Thailand, regardless of gender, age, or class. Isaan is the poorest region of Thailand, making its people particularly vulnerable. Young women are particularly at-risk in this scenario, as the pressure on them to make enough money to provide financially for their extended families makes prostitution a viable choice. For the children of Isaan, education is a way out of the cycle of poverty and the limitations of ethnic class.
