We met on a Monday night at Grace Church’s Young Professionals group in 2021. We bonded over being therapists- Michael is an OT and Sara is a PT! Michael just happened to be placed in my small group and we were friends for a little while, bonding over our love for the show Psych and swapping stories of our outdoor adventures. I knew he liked me when I gave him Covid not even a month into dating and he still stuck around. The rest is history!

We went to where we had our first date on Coronado island and paddle boarded and talked for a few hours. Afterwards, he told me he wanted to take me out to a nice dinner and drove us to the other side of the island. We parked right next to a park with a view of the San Diego skyline and while we were taking a selfie, he got down on one knee. My bestie Julie was lurking in the bushes taking pictures. Afterwards we went to grab dinner at a restaurant on the water and Ed Sheeran (Michael’s favorite artist) was playing a live concert across the bay! The next day our friends threw us an engagement brunch- we have the best people! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in July!
