Celebrate with Us

Chloe and Ryan met in the 7th grade in Castle Rock, Colorado. They went to Mesa Middle School and had multiple classes together in the 7th and 8th. They were nothing more than classmates as Chloe denied Ryan not once, but twice in middle school. They then attended the same high school together, Douglas County High School, but lived very separate lives despite having classes together throughout the 4 years. After high school, Ryan went off to the University of Colorado Denver and Chloe to Grand Canyon University. They reconnected over the Thanksgiving break of 2016 thanks to Ryan risking it all through a Twitter DM.

After Ryan shot his shot on Twitter, he and Chloe went on their first date a few weeks later while Chloe was home for Christmas break. He took her to Yolanda's Tacos in downtown Castle Rock and then to see Collateral Beauty at the movie theater. A few dates and weeks later, Chloe had to return to school in Phoenix. She then denied Ryan for the third time to start her "year of singleness". A whole year later after months of facetiming to talk about Church and Jesus, a whole summer of hanging out as "friends", AND Ryan transferring to GCU, he asked Chloe to be his girlfriend on Christmas day 2017. She FINALLY said yes. Chloe and Ryan's love and relationship grew tremendously during their time at GCU. Although Chloe was ready to be engaged after year 1, their relationship was in the hands of the Lord and they grew a great amount. Many lifelong friends, opportunities, and challenges came their way leading up to October 2021. But nothing was able to throw them off course as they continued to pursue each other through Jesus Christ. On October 23rd of 2021, Ryan, along with close friends and both families, surprised Chloe at the Riparian Water Preserve in Gilbert, Arizona. One question and one "Yes!" finally led to their dream coming true.
